Before + After: Sisters Growing into New Bedrooms
Our client decided to transition her two daughters from separate bedrooms (one was nursery) into one shared bedroom and a playroom. We redesigned both closets - the bedroom closet now contains both sisters’ clothing, while the playroom closet holds toys and their American Girl Doll collections.
Before + After: Closet and Dressing Room Makeover
Our client wanted help organizing her dressing room and closet area. Her walk-in closet only had one shelf and no additional storage. In the main dressing room closet, we decluttered the vanity and clothing, we removed existing closet infrastructure, the client then painted, and we finished it off by installing all new shelving and rods, as well as a wall of shelves to store shoes and handbags.
Before + After: Organizing a Little Girl’s Room
When they are ready to do things on their own, that’s a perfect time to get new organization systems in place to help them succeed!
The Before + After Series | Pantry + Laundry Room
Sometimes it’s our most frequently used living spaces that get neglected the most when it comes to organization. They often become a place of organized chaos, but with a few tips and a quick “makeover” these rooms can become much more efficient!
Before + After: One Day Garage Clean-Out and New Shelves
In one day, two organizers were able to completely empty the entire garage, unpack every cardboard box, build additional shelving racks, and create categories so that the systems are easy to maintain for years to come. Many of the cardboard boxes contained comic books and collectibles, which we styled in the existing glass-doored bookcases for display!
Before + After: Creating a Shared Bedroom for Kids
Our clients were transitioning their boys into one shared bedroom, so we wanted to create a space that worked well for both of them! With kids, it's so important to ensure that everything has a home so that cleaning up at the end of the day is a breeze. We wanted to be sure we used soft but sturdy materials for the baskets, and ended up with a combination of natural fiber baskets and plastic bins with lids.
Before + After: Refreshing and Reorganizing a Boys Room
Sometimes new systems of organization can really change a room! For this project, we did not have to purchase anything! We were able to declutter many of the toys, and by reorganizing them, made it easier for the little one to put things back again once he’s done playing.
Decision Fatigue & Your Wardrobe
People have been talking about decision fatigue for quite a while. Even back in 2015, The Huffington Post wrote: "We are constantly bombarded with tiny decisions throughout the day, like what to eat, what to wear or whether or not to respond to this email now. This could be particularly overwhelming and prevent us from being present enough to do our best work and live our best lives." I absolutely want to be present and live my best life, and am continually searching for new methods of simplifying my daily life. For this post, I'm going to focus on decision fatigue as it related to your wardrobe. (For more tips on combating decision fatigue, read this!) A little wardrobe planning and organization could hold the key to minimizing decision fatigue and optimizing your experience of fashion satisfaction!
Before + After: Garage Turned Playroom
Our client wanted to get both her daughter’s bedroom and playroom organized, as well as transform their garage into a client playspace. We love a project like this one!
How to Keep Your Kid's Room Organized
It’s no secret that somehow our kids rooms can go from clean to looking like a tornado hit in the blink of an eye. While we can’t as easily control our children’s whirlwind, we can control the organization within their rooms. Face it, there’s probably some Goldfish hidden in their drawers, and dinosaurs behind the bed. By eliminating excess items and organizing the space within their bedroom, it’s less likely that their toys and snacks will find homes other than where they belong.
