Guide: Resources for Making the Most of This Quarantine

Sharing ideas for keeping your home feeling safe and calm during Quarantine

Wow. What a different world we find ourselves in these past few weeks. First and foremost, I am sending you love and happy+healthy vibes and hope you are all doing very well. As we hunker down at home during this unprecedented turn of events, I’ve been so inspired by how many people and companies are offering their services in awesome and generous ways. From dance classes with world renowned choreographers to daily free kids’ activities, every morning my inbox is filled with people wanting to share their talents and their gifts with the world! And what better time to shine your light than now, in the midst of this darkness.

I’ve spent the past few weeks asking myself how I can best be of service to all of you, and I think it starts with sharing all of these incredible resources to help you find peace, reduce anxiety, move your bodies, organize your homes, and just generally make the most of this quaran-time.

When I feel anxious, cleaning and organizing bring me a sense of calm. Surprise, surprise. :) During the coming days, I’ll be sharing tips and videos of what I do to spruce up our home and keep it feeling clean and safe, so be sure to follow along with our stories on Instagram. And if you haven’t already done it, now is the best time to join our free 30 Days to Clutter-Free program. You can access the guide here - each daily task requires very minimal work, and will have you feeling decluttered in no time!

This list will be continually updated as we find more free resources in the community. If you have one that you think we should add or would like us to add a free service from your company to this list, please email me!

xx

    • Heat up oat milk, add 1 tsp coconut oil, 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp magnesium - froth it all together and then pour over your favorite stress-free tea (we love Kava Stress Tea by Yogitea) and steep.

  • Need a professional photographer? Krista Mason is offering 50% off photography packages, which can be scheduled in the future. This is hands down the best deal we’ve seen so far - I’m booking my next family session AND branding session immediately!

For the Home

  • Use this time to swap your cleaning supplies and household items to a sustainable brand you can feel great about. As a bonus, they have HAND SANITIZER AND TOILET PAPER IN STOCK! And if you use this code, you’ll get $10 off your first order.

For Helping Others

  • Heirloom LA will help you sponsor meals to hospital workers and children in need. Email tara@heirloomla.com

  • Check in on your neighbors, and see how you can help. Lots of people are joining Nextdoor, and it’s a great way to stay connected to your local community.

  • If you can, purchase gift cards to your favorite local small businesses - we’re all going to need a bit of help to get through this.

  • Donate to your local food bank. If possible, money is better than groceries. Why? Because local food banks can often buy food in bulk, helping them purchase more food at lower prices.

  • Keep paying people if you can. Can you keep paying your kid’s daycare or house cleaner? Or if not the full rate, perhaps a portion? Can you order via Instacart or use Shipt? If you have the resources, this can be an incredible way to support your local community.
