Make the Most of Your Virtual Organizing Session

How to Make the Most of Your Virtual Organizing Session

Are you someone who thrives in this work-from-home-era? Are you eager to get started on your home organization but not ready to have a team come out and do it for you? Are you someone who doesn’t live within our service area of LA but LOVE us and would like our help?

We have the organizing service for you! People like you are loving our Virtual Consulting Organizing Services as it provides you with step-by-step instructions to get your space organized by some of the best organizing experts in the Los Angeles area without having to leave your couch.

In this article, you’ll find several tips to support you in making the most out of
your appointment with one of our experts.

1. Have a clear goal

Before the session, we’ll ask you to get clear on the area in your home that you would like us to focus on. Ideally you will send us photos of the space so we can do some research before we even start.

To identify your goal, ask yourself these questions and don’t overthink it! Often times the first thought that comes to mind is the right one.

  • As I take a virtual tour of my home, when I get to ________ area is where I feel the most tension in my body.

  • What is an area in your home where items go to get lost?

  • What might I have too much of?

  • What area of my home am I slightly embarrassed of?

2. Set a reminder

Life gets busy! We love Google Calendar, or Apple Calendar for their alerts reminding us where we need to be. Set an alarm for 5 minutes before the appointment begins so you can get your water or coffee/tea, get settled and make sure to have a way to keep track of recommendations.

3. Be open to suggestions

We may suggest solutions that you haven't considered before. Be open to these suggestions and maybe just try it out for a few days and see what happens! This is what we do, and we promise we only recommend what we know will offer you relief and an easily maintainable system for our space.

4. Ask questions

We want to know any questions that come up in your mind - they are all relevant. We love when people are curious to learn more, so ask away!

5. Integrate the Follow Up Email

After the session, your organizer will send you a follow up email with links of recommendations to buy, and anything else you spoke about. Feel free to reply back with follow up questions or thank yous!

hot tip: Hold yourself accountable to taking the first actions in the follow up email by the end of the week. Don’t let too much time pass before getting it done, set an appointment on whatever calendar you use to hold yourself accountable to finishing the steps provided.

You can email us or complete our contact form below to set up your Virtual Consulting appointment now. We are typically able to make appointments within the next two weeks.
