Queer Owned Small Businesses

Queer Owned Small Businesses

As we near the end of pride month, I wanted to highlight some of my favorite queer owned local businesses. As you all know, shopping small and shopping local is so important. Plus, small businesses tend to be incredibly focused on their sustainability practices and use the best natural, clean ingredients. Many of these highlighted shops are women or BIPOC owned as well. You’ll find a little bit of everything in this list, I hope there’s something you love!

Root + Ether

Women owned, this shop tailors room sprays, teas, and blends just to your liking. You can create your own, or you can choose from their pre-made creations such as their Zodiac smoking blends based on your personal astrological sign. Everything has clean ingredients .

Akashic Cosmetics

Akashic uses natural vegan ingredients in their lotions, scrubs, and candles! I love this scent of lavender, peppermint, and eucalyptus!

Ving Vodka

Do you ever wish your homemade vodka sodas had a bit more pizazz? Well how about trying Ving Vodka’s canned cocktails. They’re easy for parties, have 7.1% alcohol, are made from corn, and are infused with lemon, cucumber, and kale! You can buy their vodka solo without the soda too! Find them in liquor stores all over LA.

All The Cheeses

Come here for your charcuterie needs! They create custom charcuterie boards and grazing tables with food and flowers. No event coming up? Send one of their gift boxes! They even have vegetarian and vegan options!

Naked Frankie

You know we’re all about reusing here. So, I love Naked Frankie’s model. You order their products, return the containers, and then they’ll clean and reuse them - awesome! They’ve got all kinds of skin, bath, and makeup products to choose from made from natural ingredients.

Mulholland Nails

I love these super super cute press on nails. Take a look at the instagram for tons of cute designs. Or, if you’re in San Diego, she does GelX.

Soosh

Soosh brings a dining out experience to your home. Sushi focused of course. They can also coorindate dinner parties and in home chefs with customized experiences based on what you’re looking for!

Cam Matthews Art

I’m obsessed with this artist’s abstract paintings. Add a pop of color to your wall with one of their amazing pieces, or get their art on the back of a jacket!

Mellow with Mary

Mary has added CBD into skincare because it has several restorative properties for the skin. Check out their skin treatment and read through all of the benefits of each of the ingredients!
