Know Your Partners in Moving
Moving can be a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be a solo endeavor. Knowing who to call and when can make all the difference. Whether you're a Los Angeles local or new to the city, partnering with the right professionals can transform your moving experience from stressful to seamless.
Professional Organizers
Hiring professional organizers can be a game-changer. Our team of experts helps you declutter, pack efficiently, and ensure your new home is perfectly organized from day one. Los Angeles is home to some top-notch professional organizing services like ours, ready to make your move smooth and stylish.
Movers
Choosing the right moving company is crucial. Rock n Roll Movers, for example, are a trusted name in Los Angeles, known for their reliable and efficient service. Professional movers handle the heavy lifting, transportation, and even some unpacking, allowing you to focus on settling into your new space. We also really love working with Wetzel & Sons, they are next level!
Handypeople
Once you're in your new home, there will inevitably be small tasks that need attention. From hanging art to assembling furniture, having a skilled handyman on call can save you time and hassle. Websites like TaskRabbit can connect you with local professionals ready to help and if you’re here in Los Angeles - we use Corey, the “heavy metal handyman” on almost all projects needing a handyman.
Storage Solutions
Before and after your move, you might need temporary storage solutions. Companies like Box City provide a range of packing supplies and storage options to fit your needs. They even offer eco-friendly moving boxes, which is a great choice for the environmentally conscious mover.
The Container Store
The Container Store is a haven for all things organizational. From custom closet systems to clever kitchen storage solutions, this store is a must-visit for anyone looking to maximize their new space. Moving is a great time to invest in storage solutions which will keep your cherished items safe. We really love this entire collection of weathertight bins you can find at the Container Store. They come in about every. single. size. you can imagine!
Buy Nothing Groups
Have things you’d like to say goodbye to, but don’t have time to drop them off to donate, you might want to try and“Give” to your local Buy Nothing Group. This is one of my favorite resources, and a community we participate in often with our work. A Buy Nothing Group is specific to your local community and you can only be part of one, it’s a place where neighbors can ask to borrow, give or receive items that others might have available. Your neighbors will gladly come pick up your no longer needed items. Important: There is NO financial exchanges allowed within Buy Nothing Groups.
Moving doesn't have to be a solo journey. With the right partners—professional organizers, movers, handypeople, and more—you can streamline the process and even enjoy it. So, as you prepare for your next move in Los Angeles, remember: you don't have to do it alone.
