Road Trip Prep!

Road trip season is here! Are you ready to hit the road?

Staying domestic this summer? Let us guide you with some road trip ideas to have a fun, calm ride to wherever your US road trip destination may be.

As the world opens up again, are you one of the millions going for a drive to a new destination? We’ve got you covered with some car trip tips!

Contain the trash!

High chance you’ll be eating on the road, leaving you with trash that can dirty the car easily! Keep a small trash can or trash bag in the car so the trash doesn’t become clutter and you can dispose of it right when you get out! Try hanging this one around the console or around the seat back: Car Trash Can.

Consolidate the clutter!

Do you end up laying your belongings wherever you can find a spot? Try purchasing some car organization products that will allow for everything to have its own place - a double win since it will help you from misplacing your phone and wallet! There are products available to hang over the seat back: Seat Back Organizer, or to fill the gap in between the console and the front seats: Seat Gap Filler, or to place in your trunk: Trunk Organizer

Sanitize!

Keeping a mini handheld vacuum and a roll of clorox wipes in the car is a must for me! Hot tip: you could store them in the trunk organizer linked above!

Do you need it?

Your car does not need to be your storage unit! Keep it simple and only bring with you what you know you’ll need - but make sure that a couple couple emergecy *just in case* items such as jumper cables and flashlights make it on your road trip packing list!

Take a deep breath!

Road trips can be overwhelming with those long hours of family time! Remember that this trip is about having fun and is escape for you too, not just the kids! Get together your favorite road trip games and road trip snacks. Allow yourself to decompress, sit back, take a breath, and bop to some tunes to stay sane! Speaking of tunes, check out our Summer Road Trip playlist we made just for you filled with road trip songs!
