Best Beauty Products for Easy Packing

Best Beauty Products for Easy Packing

The hardest part of packing is always the toiletries, especially when trying to pack light for a little weekend getaway or saving time and money by not checking a bag. When you want to be full faced for that nice vacation dinner and still keep some semblance of a nighttime skincare routine miles away from home….3.4 oz says who??? Trying to pair down your collection of products can be tricky, but it is possible. Once you’ve got your favorite travel products selected, you can use the same plan for all trips to come!

First off…let’s use those free samples.

How many free samples have you accumulated over the years? Does the pile just keep growing? Now is the perfect time to use them! I’ve discovered some awesome products via sample, plus when Sephora is giving them out, I can’t resist. But, be sure you’re only keeping free samples that you are SURE you will use. There’s no reason to have a huge pile of them lying around without getting use. However, a small, intentional collection of sample sizes that are really appealing to you is A-okay.

I LOVE products that multitask.

Let’s start with an all in one cheek and lip tint! Tower 28 is one of my favorite brands at Sephora that uses vegan, clean ingredients. They have a lip and cheek tint that’s awesome. So does Glossier! Even though it says it’s just for cheek, trust me, they’re great for lip too. Tons of different shades to try! If you like your products in stick form, as I do, Ilia has a great one to try. The peach pink is my favorite shade for a super natural look on both cheek and lips!

Find a palette that does it all!! Get the most bang with Charlotte Tilbury’s combined eyeshadow, bronzer, highlight, and blush set. There’s *technically* no eyeshadow involved, but I love the shades in Too Faced’s Face Palette made up of blush, bronzer, and highlight. But, I think the bronzers and highlights would look awesome as eyeshadow as well!

Skip foundation and use a tinted facial moisturizer with SPF. One of my favorite products of all time is Josie Maran’s Argan Tinted Moisturizer. It’s got 47 SPF to keep you covered and has just enough color to make your skin smooth and dewey, and is somehow able to blend right in with tons of different skin tones?? Perfect for a tropical destination. Another option is from Supergoop, and seriously, I love all of their products! With two shades to choose from, this skin protecting product could act as a base primer or a light foundation in addition to a sunscreen. Lastly, Ilia has a product that’s all of the above, PLUS, a serum..WOAH!

Moisturize and cleanse at the same time! Why waste space? Estee Lauder’s Multi-Action Creme can be used for both! Use it every day for general cleansing and then twice a week leave it on for several minutes and let it soak into your skin as a moisturizing mask. Charlotte Tilbury’s Miracle Glow will have the same effect. Clean your skin, use it as an overnight mask, or use it as a body balm!
