Refining areas in your home to reduce visual clutter and find solutions of existing units.

During this 2 day project, we helped our clients to reduce visual clutter in their living room and in dad’s closet/dressing area. Additionally, we were able to further secure their existing shelving units.

Day 1

We began by organizing the husband's closet / dressing area. He stores luggage, sports memorabilia, etc. in the same area and it was beginning to feel more like a household dumping ground than a proper dressing area for him. We organized all clothing by category, and then by color, to achieve a cohesive look and an easy to maintain system.

Day 2

We then organized and decluttered the living room space. Their existing built-in shelves were great for additional storage, but were beginning to sag under the weight of the books, and also with a toddler learning to stand by using the shelves to pull herself up! We decluttered some of the toys and organized them in a way that would allow the little one to have easy access to her toys but without making the living room space feel overrun with clutter. We reinforced the shelving with additional brackets and supports, and organized and styled the shelves to create a more calming vibe.
